Spreading The Joy Of Pets Christmas Day
A repeat of last year is bound to leave a lasting impression for residents and volunteers sharing special moments with pets this Christmas Day at Manor Care nursing home in Libertyville. This will be the seventh year we spend spreading the joy of pets with people who need it.
Our volunteers come with dogs, cats, ferrets, rabbits and who-knows-what else and spend time with the people who wish to see them. The ooh’s and aah’s and laughter are like sweet music in the air. Eyes are wet with laughter mixed with melancholy and hearts are so big you can almost see the boom, boom, boom in peoples’ chests.
So if you’d like to spend an hour with us Christmas Day come from 2-3 p.m. be sure to RSVP that you are coming. If you would like to bring your pet make sure to fill out the proper forms on our web site as well as provide us with your pets shot records.
