More about Monkey

Monkey is a tiny chihuahua who was found as a stray in Lake County. We estimate that he is around seven years old. He is a very sweet little guy who is good with gentle kids, dogs and cats.  He is a very small guy and came to us very skinny so we consider him to be a little fragile.  We don't know how old he is but he has a little gray in his muzzle. 

This photo was taken after his foster mom dropped off her three-year-old Danny at Grandma's house and as soon as Danny left the car Monkey climbed into the car seat and slept like that the whole way home.

Monkey has been attending pet therapy with us and has been just wonderful with the residents of the nursing home.  He does go potty outside but as with many very small dogs he does lift his leg in the house at times.  He has been neutered so we hope that lessens some.  But his new owner will have to be tolerant of occasional housebreaking issues or have him wear a belly band in the house.

In addition to being neutered Monkey's teeth have been cleaned and one was pulled.  He is also up to date on his shots and microchippied.
