Lake County Pet Food Pantry

Animal Education and Rescue to Run Grayslake Location

A new Pet Food Pantry opens its doors on January 4th at Central Bark Doggy Day Care Center in Grayslake. Serving the needs of Lake County residents and their pets, the Pantry is being operated and run by Animal Educations Animal Education (AEAR).

"Ever since the Mundelein based Pooch Pantry closed its doors, people have been asking where they can donate and receive pet food," explains Sandy Kamen Wisniewski, founder of AEAR. "We are delighted to be working with Central Bark to fill this need."

Central Bark, which is located at 256 Commerce, Grayslake, IL, will accept donations Monday thru Friday 6:30 a.m. until 6:30 p.m. Items accepted include: Dry and canned dog food and cat food and cat litter.

The Pet Pantry will be open to Lake County residents on Wednesdays and Saturdays from 9 a.m. until Noon. Residents interested in receiving food for their pets must meet certain requirements, including proof of low income, proof of pet ownership, a valid driver’s license or photo I.D and must arrive during hours listed above.

For more information about the Lake County Pet Food Pantry contact AEAR.
