WHEN: Sunday, October 12, 2008
WHERE: Old School Forest Preserve Shelter C St. Mary’s Road in Libertyville
TIME: 1-4 p.m.
Tails of Hope originated the popular event held at Old School Forest Preserve for the past five years. This year the founder, Kelly Moyer, decided that by joining forces with another well-known Lake County based humane society they could double the help they could provide homeless animals. “I am thrilled that Animal Education and Rescue has decided to join us this year. I expect it to be an amazing day and to raise a significant amount of money to help animals,” Moyer said.
Animal Education and Rescue is excited to be included in this special event. “Kelly (founder of Tails of Hope) and I share the common goal of wanting to help homeless animals. She has an excellent reputation and I am glad to be working with her on this. It’s a perfect partnership,” said AEAR’s founder Sandy Kamen Wisniewski.
A single step will help one animal, many steps will help thousands, is the idea behind WOOFSTOCK’s walk-a-thon. Bring your walking shoes! There were also be entertainment, animal-related activities, giveaways and much more. Dog and human friendly dogs are welcome to attend.
