SUMMARY:Fifth Annual Spirit Walk
DESCRIPTION:Fifth annual Spirit Walk \, Sunday\, June 27\, 2021 at 10:00 AM – Sunday\, June 27\, 2021 at 4:00 PM\n\nWe meet at Old School forest preserve in Libertyville parking lot D.  We park our cars there.  We walk from there to Highland Park downtown.  It’s approximately 12 miles.  We will have volunteers drive to highland park to pick us up and take us back to our cars.  Dinner together is fun and optional.\n\nThis year’s theme is honoring and understanding the history and plight of the pit bulls and bull terriers.  Each mile I will post inspirational and educational messages about pit bull breed.\n\nWe ask people to get sponsorship for the walk or to make a donation to help us with our mission.  You can ask for people to donate a flat amount or donate per mile.  Please don’t bring your dog.  It’s too long if a walk and likely too hot.  Plus we go into places along the way for refreshments and bathroom breaks.

SUMMARY:Spirit Walk - Animals\, Our Teachers\, Our Friends
DESCRIPTION:Join us for our Fifth Annual SPIRIT WALK\n\n\n \n\n\nOn Sunday June 30 we will be walking 12 miles\, from Libertyville to Highland Park. Each mile AEAR’s founder will post inspirational insights onto AEAR’s Facebook page. The walk is meant to symbolize a growing and expanding of the mind\, body and soul. For each person walking it is a walk for personal reasons\, as well as global reasons. It’s a quest to seek answers and truths.\n\n\n \n\n\nInspired by AEAR’s founder\, Sandy Kamen Wisniewski\, when many years ago she felt she was at a crossroads in her life and decided to take a spiritual journey to get answers by walking from her home in Libertyville to her childhood home in Highland Park. Word got out about it and people asked to join her. Walkers ask for sponsors to make a donation in honor of the animals currently that are in Animal Education and Rescue’s care.\n\n\n \n\n\nDate: Sunday June 30\n\n\nTime: 10:-00 a.m. on top of the sled hill at Old School Forest Preserve in Libertyville. On top of the hill Sandy will guide the group in a meditation. The walk begins at 10:30 a.m. until 5:30pm. We stop numerous times on the walk. We will stop for a bite to eat at Panera Bread in Lake Bluff\, ice cream in Highwood and dinner out at a restaurant. People can park their cars at Old School and we will carpool back to your cars afterwards. You can come for part or all of the walk.
