How do I go about adopting an animal?2018-08-17T17:10:19-05:00

The first step is to go to our Adoption Process page and read all of the information there.  Next you will need to fill out an Adoption application which can also be found on that page.

Please note due to LIMITED staff and busy volunteers we ONLY contact applicants we are considering for adoption. You will likely, but not always, hear from someone within 24/48 hours of submitting your application. Please understand there are various reasons someone may not be contacted.

  • It could be that the dog/cat/whatever that you are applying for is very popular and we have received many applications (this is often the purebreds and the non sheds).
  • It could be that we are already working with an applicant.
  • It could be that we don’t think it’s a good match. If we think you are not a good match for that particular pet DOES NOT mean we think you would be a bad pet owner in any way.
  • If you are one of a few who we are considering for an animal, but you do not get chosen, once again this does not mean we think you would be a bad pet owner.
I have submitted an Adoption Application. When can I expect to hear back from someone?2018-08-17T17:05:56-05:00

After you have filled out an application you will get an automated response with important information with regard to our adoption process.  Receiving that email  after you filled out an application indicates that we have received your application.  If you did not receive an email response, that means something went wrong and your application did not go through so you will need to resubmit it.  Please check your spam folder.

How much does it cost to adopt an animal?2018-08-17T17:05:56-05:00

Adoption fees vary based on the type of animal and sometimes even the breed.  To get the specific cost of any animal visit the Adoptable Pets page on our website and click on the specific animal you are interested in.  You will find the adoption fee just under the animals name in their bio.

How do I meet one of the animals I am considering adopting?2018-08-17T17:05:56-05:00

If you are interested in meeting one of the animals you wish to adopt there are a couple of options. Because we are a foster-home based rescue organization, we do not have a shelter facility so we ask that you visit us at a Meet and Greet Event or wait for your application to be approved and a meeting will be arranged. Unfortunately due to the high number of applications we receive for animals, it is not possible for us to arrange “private” meetings unless your application has been approved.  If there is a particular pet you would like to see at a Meet and Greet Event please contact us at [email protected] or via the form below the day before the event to see if that animal will be there. Not all the animals come to all the events.  Some of our animals don’t do well at events either.

I have questions about a particular animal. How do I get more information?2018-08-17T17:05:56-05:00

All of the available information for a given animal can be found by going to the Adoptable Pets page of our website and clicking on the animal you are interested in to bring up their individual animal page.

How do I know if the animal I am interested in is still available for adoption?2018-08-17T17:05:56-05:00

All of the animals that are listed on our Adoptable Pets page of the website are available for adoption.  So if you do not see that the animal listed there anymore then that means the animal has been adopted and is no longer available.
