Foster Questionnaire

  • Check all that apply
  • Adoption Events

One of the key responsibilities of being a Foster parent is being available to bring the foster pets to Meet and Greet events at area pet stores. Having the animals seen at these events can dramatically increase the likelihood of them being adopted in a much shorter time period. Typically these events are held on Saturdays for about three hours and are usually within 15 minutes of Libertyville. We also have a Meet and Greet at the Libertyville Farmer's Market Thursday's from 8 am until 1 pm during the summer/early fall months. Keep in mind, however, that not all animals are suitable for adoption Meet and Greet events. An AEAR coordinator will determine suitability.
  • Photos and Video's of Foster Animals

All Foster animals are put up on the AEAR website and others such as Adopt-a-pet, Petfinder etc. for adoption. One of the primary tools in getting an animal adopted is having really great photos and video's of them. Therefore, it is critical that the Foster parents take responsibility for taking the photos/video's and getting them to AEAR in a timely fashion once the animal has settled into their home. Photo's and video's taken from mobile phones are acceptable and encouraged.
