Out Pet Parties are a unique, educational and fun experience for the little pet lover in your family.
The animals available for parties will vary depending on party date, time and age of children. We rely completely on volunteers to bring the animals and not all animals we have are good with kids. So, it can be as little as one dog or a crew of different animals.
Aside from the fun, hands-on experience with the pets, the parties are educational too. Our founder and lead humane investigator, Sandy Kamen Wisniewski, leads the presentation and wears her humane investigator uniform. She talks about doing investigations (age appropriate) and the book she wrote called, The Animal Warrior. Children who are good readers can read it by age 11 or 12. Some parents choose to purchase a copy of the book for their child which she would inscribe.
We give each child a brochure which has a poster in the middle. and we bring one of our vans used in rescue and investigation work, so the kids can see the van up close.
In exchange for the program, we ask for a minimum donation of $150.00 for our organization—that will help continue our programs and animal rescue efforts—or you can ask in addition to a gift for your child your child’s friends can bring a donation or an item from our wish list.
Friday or Saturday night or Sunday afternoons are the best days for us but we may be able to work something else out.
